Amazon is planning to expand the operations of its Boston Tech Hub that will produce around 2,000 technology employment opportunities including machine learning, robotics, and cloud computing jobs.

The Vice President and leading scientist of Amazon Alexa, Rohit Prasad said:

Amazon’s tech hub based in Boston mainly focuses on Amazon Web Services more commonly known as AWS, Alexa the voice assistant and Audible. Majority of the work done in Boston metropolitan is related to cloud computing and machine learning. A large pool of engineers and machine learning scientists try to improve the experience of Alexa consumers.
It’s interesting to note that Amazon, according to LinkedIn’s annual survey, came up as the most desirable workplace in the United States. Being the biggest cloud solution provider globally, Amazon has consistently created job opportunities for cloud computing professionals and aspirants.
Cloud computing is a rising technology spectrum as we move toward a more connected world. It’s not only the enterprise that has realized importance of cloud but consumers are also making the adjustment to rely on streaming and saving media on cloud instead of depending on local hardware storage. According to LinkedIn listings, there are more than 16,000 cloud computing jobs right now in the United States and Amazon is just going to add more.
